The Turpin Girls LaCrosse team won their for the first time in school history in their inaugural game, defeating Lakota East 12-5. The girls will take on Milford away this Wednesday, then host Mariemont on Thursday in their first home game, one of just three home games this season.
Turpin's first goal ever was scored by Maggie Argus assisted by Claudia Reynolds. Turpin led 5-3 at halftime and used a strong second half to pull away from Lakota East. Spartan goals were scored by: Claudia Reynolds (3), Maggie Argus (3), Sophie Armor (2), Maryellen Tully, Renee Steller, Olivia Ueltschi and Mya Hehemann
The team is made up of mostly freshmen and sophomores. The team plays in the Ohio Schoolgirls Lacrosse Associatiion.
