The Spartan’s women’s soccer team wins two important games.

The Lady Spartans defeated Glen Este, 3-0; and St. Ursula, 2-1, to improve their regular season record to 6-1-3 (2-0-1, ECC).

On Tuesday night, Sophomore Taylor Gebhart, Junior Hailey Siler, and Senior Anna Richards, each scored in the ECC conference match-up against the Women’s Glen Este Trojans and earned an important ECC victory. Junior Drew Hardin logged her first varsity start and shutout behind a strong defensive effort to keep the Lady Trojans scoreless for 80 minutes. The Lady Spartans won and improved their ECC record to 2-0-1.

On Homecoming Saturday, The Lady Spartans handled a talented and physical St. Ursula Lady Bulldogs team and emerged victorious with a 2-1 win. Senior Caroline Mink and Sophomore Elise Crew each scored a goal on assists from Senior Alicia Brunemann and Junior Jenny Lippowitsch, respectively, winning, 2-1.

The Lady Spartans play three games this week and could position themselves for a strong regular season finish against some very good and highly ranked teams, mainly Walnut Hills (8-1-1; 4-0-0, ECC), and Loveland (10-0-1; 4-0-0, ECC); all three teams are still in the hunt for the ECC crown.

The Lady Spartans play Withrow on Tuesday at Spartan Stadium, at 7:00 pm; Kings (@ Kings) on Thursday, at 7:00 pm; and McAuley (@ McAuley) on Saturday, at 12:00 pm.
