Boys Freshman Basketball starts with a win, gives back to community

On  December 2, the freshman boys traveled to Lakota West. It started off great with an 8-0 run by the Spartans and then the firebirds woke up. A back and forth battle was changed when Sam Machenheimer hit a game changing three to put the Spartans back on top.

Team mates Dylan Nugent ant Ethan Armbruster also contributed a good number of points to get the win.

On Saturday morning the team met to do a service project for Max's Meals and The 43. Here are pictures of the boys working hard together packing sand bags for luminaries. After the two-hour project, they had a team lunch. Their season is off to a great start!
