St Ursula Bulldogs rolled into Spartan Stadium as the 4th ranked team in Cincinnati and on a three game win streak.
The Spartans were trying to rebound from a frustrating loss to Seton Thursday night after dominating most of play during the evening. The game started with the Bulldogs placing immediate pressure on the home team.
The Spartans weathered the storm and settled into a tough match. It became apparent very quickly that our defensively line and our goalie would be tested most of the game. 40 minutes into the game and a 0-0 halftime scored.
The difference time and time again was that Caroline Welsh, the Turpin goalie was not going to allow the Bulldogs any easy goals. Caroline came up with save after save and frustrated the St Ursula strikers. As the second half ticked by, the Spartans had limited chances and started to wear down. In the end, the final score was 0-0 and the Spartans turn their attention to neighborhood rival Anderson on Tuesday night.
