Today’s spotlight will be on Taylor “Mighty Mouse” Gebhart.
Taylor is a four year varsity midfielder that has also played at the forward position. Taylor is also one of the captains this year.
Taylor started playing soccer when she was 4 years old for the legendary “Dragons”, where she was known to bet teammates siblings on whether she would score a goal. Based on this season’s output of goals. We assume she won many of those bets. Taylor played club soccer for Beechmont and currently is still playing for Alliance Soccer Elite. Taylor’s fondest memory from club soccer is when she dedicated her tournament goals to her grandmother that passed away the same weekend.
Taylor looked up to Payton Atkins and Mary Ellen Tully coming into Turpin’s program. “The confidence and skill level these two alumni showed on the pitch was only matched by how good of people they are.” Taylor’s fondest memory was Turpin’s overtime victory against Centerville in the state playoffs. Taylor’s advice to incoming players to the program is, “Your teammates are your best friend, try to treat them as such. Take nothing for granted.”
Taylor will be playing college soccer at Centre College in Danville Kentucky. The entire Turpin community wish you success on and off the pitch.
