Olivia is enjoying her second year of varsity soccer after starting two years at the JV level. Olivia is a starting outside midfielder that has scored several goals this year, most recently, a brilliant strike against Lakota West earlier in October.
Like so many other seniors, Olivia started playing soccer before entering Mercer Elementary at the age of 4 years old. Olivia played for the fearsome “Blue Birds”. Olivia and her twin sister Kirby were known to switch jerseys in order to confuse their coaches and opposing teams. Olivia eventually decided to take her talents to select soccer where she played for SCSA, CU, KHA, and is still currently playing for Alliance Cincinnati Elite. Olivia has had the honor of meeting current US Women National Team star Rose Lavelle. Olivia’s favorite off the field memory is their team roasting their KHA soccer coach Clay Revis during their last tournament dinner together.
Olivia, like so many, looked up to Mary Ellen Tully for her ability to score and sing the National Anthem before every game…. Olivia wants incoming freshman into the Turpin Soccer program to “ Work Hard and Don’t Walk”…..success will follow. Seeing both of her parents in the stands for every single game has been Olivia’s best memory of Turpin Soccer. Olivia also added she loved the team dinners every week….
Olivia plans on playing club soccer at whatever university she ends up attending and intends to sing the national Anthem at those club games.
