Chloe is playing her second year of varsity soccer. Chloe was brought back from her midfield position this year to sure up our defensive line. Chloe is one of our two central defenders that have been very stingy this season.
Chloe didn’t start her soccer career until she was 8 years old, but quickly helped an established “Blue Dolphin” team. Actually, Chloe’s dad was her first coach during the Blue Dolphin dynasty. Chloe’s moved onto club soccer and always played with Classic Hammers which are now known as Kings Hammer Academy. Chloe loved out of town tournaments. During some down time, Chloe learned to do “Double Dutch” jump rope and enjoyed watching the parents on the trip as they tried their skills at matching the players.
Chloe looked up to all the seniors her freshman year, especially Payton Atkins, Mary Ellen Tully and Maddie Peirce, because they played such a fast game. Chloe’s advice to incoming players at Turpin is ”Stick with it all four years. It isn’t always easy, especially sophomore and junior years, but in the end, senior year will make it all worthwhile.” Chloe’s favorite memory from this year was pranking the new varsity player (SH) and getting her to wear her entire uniform, including cleats and shin guards, to school. Chloe also loves the tradition of wearing their jersey to school on game days and everyone’s favorite, team dinners.
The Spartan soccer team and family wishes Chloe the Bowie the best of luck as she enters college next fall.
