Caroline is a four year starting goal keeper for the Spartans.
Caroline came in as a freshman and volunteered to try playing goalie. The Varsity didn’t have a returning goalie and was in need of new talent. Simply put, they found it. Caroline has spent the last four years fine tuning her abilities and has become a premier goalie in the region. Caroline will be playing goalie for Xavier University next fall. Not bad for simply volunteering to try and help the team four years ago.
Caroline started playing soccer at 4 years old for the “Yellow Roses”. One specific game sticks out when remnants of Hurricane Ike, producing 70 miles per hours wind, came through. The match went on and produced one memorable game (no one was injured). Caroline played for several clubs (SCSA, Kings Hammer, Ohio Elite and CUP) as she tried to find the perfect balance allowing her to play high level basketball as well. Caroline loved all the U.S. travel associated with club soccer; traveling with friends and family to Chicago, NY, Florida and beyond.
Maddie Pierce was Turpin’s upper classmen that impressed Caroline. Maddie was exceptional on the field and in the classroom. Caroline advise for incoming players; “Work Now, Rest Later”. Caroline’s best memory from Turpin soccer was from her freshman year, winning in double overtime against top ranked Centerville to go onto the regional finals. Caroline will miss the how the entire team sings the THS Alma Mater on the bus ride home from each game.
Good Luck Caroline on the next chapter @ Xavier University.
