Turpin traveled to Hyde Park to play the Withrow Tigers in the first game of the new year, and the well-rested Spartans displayed a balanced offensive game by scoring in double figures all four quarters in route to a 25-point victory to improve to 7-4 overall (3-3 ECC).
After the hosts jumped out to a 3-0 lead, the Spartans answered with a 12-1 run to finish up the opening quarter. Ellie Holt opened the visitors account with a 3-point jumper from the right arc. A minute later, Olivia Hamilton scored a runner from the right side of the lane to put Turpin up 5-3. Savanna Hazenfield stole the ball and went the length of the court for a lay-up putting the Spartans up 10-4. Holt went inside, grabbed an offensive, and was fouled on the put back attempt. She calmly sank both free throws. Turpin led 12-4 after the 1st.

Then, she stole the ball and went the length of the court for a lay-up to up the Turpin lead to 32-7.
