Senior Aaron Brugler got the start, and the win, for the Turpin Spartans versus Withrow on Senior Day at Spartan Stadium. In his first action of the season, Brugler went 5 1/3 innings and gave up just two hits to go along with four strikeouts. Senior Tyler Ricketts pitched to the final two batters. The Spartans won 13-3 in six innings.

Turpin fell behind 3-0 in the top of the first inning on a few miscues. The Spartans started chipping away at the lead in their half of the first. Devon Malagari led off with a walk, and with one out, Pat Fetch singled to right field. An infield error on Zach Heming's grounder enabled Malagari to score and narrowed Withrow's lead to 3-1. Brugler sent the Tigers down in order in both the second and third innings. In the fourth inning, Pat Fetch fielded a ground ball, stepped on second base and threw to first baseman, Steven Jankowski, for a double play. The Spartans got on a roll and batted around in the bottom of the fourth inning. Fetch reached base on an infield error. Heming walked. Connor Lambert laid down a sacrifice bunt and also reached base on an error which loaded the bases. With one out, Nolan Ecker singled to left field which scored Fetch . With two outs, pinch-hitter Drew Sesler ripped a single to left field which scored Heming and Lambert. Malagari then singled to left which scored Ecker. Jack Muscatello followed with a single to right field which scored Sesler. A double by Fetch scored Malagari and a 7-3 Spartan lead.

The Turpin varsity baseball team spotted the Ross Rams an early 4-0 lead before storming back to record a 10-4 victory in Fairfield. Spartans starting pitcher, Steve Jankowski, and his teammates had to dig deep after falling behind. Turpin caught a break on a throwing error which enabled two runs to score and tightened the Ross lead to 4-2. The Spartan defense stiffened the remainder of the game and the bats then caught fire. Grayson Lambert had three hits in the game. Jared Breeze, Jake Silverstein and Drew Sesler contributed clutch hits late to blow the game open. Jankowski exited the game with a 7-4 lead in the sixth inning and Connor Lambert came on in relief to finish the game and recorded his first save of the season.
