Below is a recap of the Turpin varsity baseball games this week:

On a beautiful day for baseball on Friday, April 24, the Turpin Spartans could not muster a hit or a walk off Milford starting pitcher, Justin Arnold, as he pitched a perfect game over six innings. The Spartans were sluggish in the field, posting four errors in the first inning and fell behind 4-0 after one inning. Turpin starter Steven Jankowski battled the entire day to keep Milford in check. Tyler Ricketts came in to relieve Jankowski in the 5th inning. Milford scored one in the second, two in the fifth and 3 in the sixth en route to a 10-0 final.

On Monday, April 27, Turpin fought hard, but lost their rematch to Milford 3-0.

On Tuesday, April 28, Amelia came out on top versus Turpin 4-0.

On Wednesday, April 29, at Turpin Stadium, Glen Este got the best of our Spartans posting a 6-2 victory. Glen Este scored 2 in the second inning off of starting pitcher John Pappas however, our Spartans answered in the bottom of the third inning pushing across 2 of our own with RBI's from Devin Malagari and Jack Muscatello. Joe Blamer and Connor Lambert came on in relief after Pappas took a line shot off of his leg in the 5th inning. The Turpin bats fell silent the remainder of the game. Glen Este added runs in the 5th, 6th and 2 in the 7th to finish the game with a 6-2 victory.

On Friday, May 1, Glen Este posted a 10-0 win over Turpin.

On a cold and windy Wednesday, April 22, Turpin's John Pappas had four strikeouts and yielded only one hit in five innings at Walnut Hills. Joe Blamer came on in relief in the sixth inning for the Spartans.
