The Spartans (9-4 ECC, 12-11) extended their win streak to six with a solid come from behind 9-3 victory over Anderson. Before the game, Anderson extended an incredible gesture on their senior day by recognizing Turpin’s seniors with flowers and a small gift. What was even more special about the gesture is Anderson did not even have a single senior.
The Spartans (2-0 ECC, 4-3) bounced back after a tough non-conference weekend in which the bats went silent defeating Loveland 13-3 and 4-3 in their conference opener.
The Spartans (0-0 ECC, 2-1) avenged a tough road loss to Harrison from a couple years ago with a solid 7-1 victory. This was the Spartans 3rd consecutive road game as they split their opening weekend against Upper Arlington and Berea-Midpark. With a very experienced team, Turpin will be challenging themselves with a tough schedule with only 8 of the 26 games being home games.
The Spartans (11-3 ECC, 14-8) came up short in a bid for a sectional championship with a tough 4-1 loss to Kings. Kings scored three runs with two outs in the 5th inning to break the 1-1 tie and go on to victory. Turpin could not get the bats going like they did earlier in the week as they collected only four hits.
