Turpin swimmers were BUSY last week!  Turpin boasted 2 strong wins against our neighborhood rival, Anderson and another W a few days later vs. West Clermont.

As tradition stands, hair dying by the male swimmers took priority and added to the team spirit and raucous behavior at both meets!

We celebrated our senior swimmers and their families after the West Clermont meet over a pizza dinner with all the trimmings. Thank you to the Delehanty, DiFilippo, Mayne, and Schmelzer families for hosting a very lovely evening.

Suffice it to say, it was an impressive week of first place finishes and person best times by much of this team!

The Freshman Spartans Boys Basketball Team brought in the new year in much the same way they ended the old one, with a dominant victory! On Tuesday, January 2nd, the Spartans (4-4 overall, 3-1 ECC) faced off against the Milford Eagles at THS and ran their winning streak to 4 games with a 62-28 victory. Since starting the season 0-4, the young Spartans have strung together victories of 28 pts, 15 pts, 52 pts, and 34 pts. It appears that Coach Mitch Johnson’s club is clicking on all cylinders right now.

After a few narrow losses against Milford (L 0-1) and Lakota West (L 1-2), the Spartans rallied to tie Loveland 1-1 and defeat Seven Hills 2-0. The defense is holding strong led by sophomore goalie, Peyton Hicks. The boys begin a home streak with a game against Kings tonight, a face off against Indian Hill Saturday afternoon and a match against Walnut Hills next Thursday evening. Come out to Spartan Stadium to cheer on your JV Mens Soccer Team!
