In an intense crosstownship shootout, Turpin JV Boys Soccer tied Anderson 0-0 on September 28th. Defender Griffin Hobbs and Goalkeeper Peyton Hicks stepped up to keep the Redskins scoreless. Although the boys suffered some losses to Indian Hill (0-1), Walnut Hills (0-5) and Fairfield (0-1), they tied Withrow 1-1. The team looks to finish strong during their last week of the regular season, as they face Harrison at home Monday, October 9th (Senior Night) and West Clermont away on Thursday, October 12th.
Boys Soccer JV
After a few narrow losses to Milford (0-1) and Lakota West (1-2), the JV Boys Soccer Team tied Loveland (1-1) and defeated Seven Hills at home (2-0). Spartan defense is holding strong led by sophomore goalie, Peyton Hicks. The boys play a home game stretch over the next week with a game tonight against Kings, Saturday afternoon facing Indian Hill and next Thursday's match against Walnut HIlls. Come out to Spartan Stadium to cheer on your JV Boys Soccer Team as they look to improve their record (5-2-1).
4 wins and 0 losses is a great start for the JV Boys Soccer team. After defeating Madeira (2-1) and Colerain (5-0), the boys went on to win their home opener agaist Lakota East 1-0 with another shut out by Peyton HIcks (with the help of his defense). The penalty kick goal was made by freshman, Danny Mangan. The Spartans face Milford at home tomorrow at 5:00. Come out to cheer them to victory!
A 4-0 win against McNicholas on Saturday started the Boys JV Soccer Team off for the Fall of 2017. The strong defense led by sophomores Cole Kueper and Griffin Hobbs aided goalie, Peyton HIcks, in his first shut out of the season. Spartans Nate Jones (2), Alex Hurst and Connor Shaw put the ball in the net to lead the offense to victory.
