The Girls Golf team ended the season with a 10-4 record, finishing in third place in the ECC. They started the season with a second place finish at the preseason ECC tournament in August and ended it by being crowned Queen of the Hill. Several times this season they set new low team scores on area golf courses, including the lowest team score recorded for the Queen of the Hill event. It was a very successful season and one they hope to build on next year. They will be returning most of their varsity players but will miss their seniors; Bel Ciampone, Elle Palmer, and Gabrielle Quinn.
After a 19-0 start, Turpin JV took its first and only loss of the season Monday to St. Xavier at Hyde Park 165-169, despite great scores by Freshman Sam Rana (39) & Sophomore Zach Gardner (40).
On Thursday, the boys golf team competed in the ECC tournament at Sharon Woods Golf Course. They finished in second place with a solid score of 326. They were led by senior Ryan Lambert with a silver medalist winning 77. Junior Cash Renfro backed him up with a 79. The boys finished the regular season in second place behind Loveland by a half of a point. They will look to keep their season going at sectionals on Tuesday at Sharon Woods.
