The girls golf team beat Milford 182-190 at Terrace Park. Continuing to show improvement each time out, the girls beat their previous low score at Terrace Park. Not wanting the match to end, and in the spirit of a truly friendly rivalry, the teams made plans to meet at Topgolf in West Chester to hang out and play a little more golf together.
Walnut Hills hosted Turpin on Tuesday at Cincinnati County Club. On a picture perfect day for golf, Turpin defeated Walnut Hills 184 (44-46-46-48) to 206 (38-50-56-62). Elizabeth Chamberlin lead the team with a 44, Isabel Ciampone and Margot Swartz each shot a 46 and Abby Para rounded out the team score with a 48. It was a great ending to the first day back at school. On Thursday, they look to avenge their only loss this season when they face Milford at Terrace Park Country Club.
Last Monday afternoon at Ivy Hills, neither Kings JV nor Mother Nature could stop the Spartans as Turpin JV survived a mid-round rain with a 164-179 win. Sophomore Alex Covington led the way with a 39, supported by Freshman Sam Rana's 41.
The Turpin boys varsity golf team went 3-0 this week. They started the week at Ivy Hills with a win over Kings, 160-187. They were led by both Cash Renfro (37) and Ryan Lambert (38). The Spartans earned a nail-biting 160-161 victory over Mariemont at Ivy Hills on Tuesday. They were again led by Renfro (35) and Lambert (38). On Wednesday, Turpin pulled out a 156-157 win against St. Xavier at Legendary Run. They were led by senior Ryan Lambert with a dominant 1-under par (35) performance.
