The Lady Spartans did not allow the cold weather to affect their bowling as they dominated Anderson 2268-1873. Leading Turpin was sophomore, Isabelle Reynolds, who rolled a 398 series with a 205 game, followed by junior, Madison Gillespie, who had a 389 series and a 201 game. The Lady Spartans were hoping to extend their recent success from the ECC/SWOC Tournament finish this week, but faced a tough Loveland team. On Monday at their home lanes, Turpin found themselves down sixty pins after match play. As in the past, the Baker games would determine the winner. The Lady Spartans cut into the deficit a little after the first Baker game but it was not enough as Loveland out-bowled Turpin the final three games to post a 2146-2054 victory. Leading Turpin was Monica Bosse with a 312 series.
Weather conditions forced a postponement of last Monday's match against Anderson which is now rescheduled for Thursday, January 23. Tuesday's match went on as scheduled with both teams ready to bowl after a two week layoff. Anderson went up after game one by 34 pins as the Lady Spartans left too many pins on the lanes, but they regrouped in the second game by rolling an 824 game. Leading Turpin was Krista Heggem with a 196 game and 357 series and Madison Gillespie with a 194 game and 373 series. After match play, the Lady Spartans held a comfortable advantage of 123 pins. In the Baker games, Turpin extended that advantage and came away with a convincing 2118-1928 victory.
