Turpin defeats Walnut Hills

The Boys Golf Team defeated Walnut Hills in the first FAVC match of the season by a score of 151-168. Senior Wheeler Renfro was medalist with a 1-under par score of 32. Sophomore Nick Ewan fired a 36 for his best round of the season and seniors Tim Farmer, Ben Lammert, and Craig Waltz carded scores of 41, 42, and 42, respectively.

Wheeler Renfro of Turpin shot a 78 to place second at the FAVC Shootout. The Spartans placed fifth overall.

Meet Coach Hanneken

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Coach Hanneken teaches Earth Science and Biology I. He graduated in 1976 from Miami University with a BS in Education and in 1980 he received his Masters from Xavier University. He is married and has three children: twins Jeff and Rick and Lisa. In his spare time, enjoys hiking, backpacking, teaching spinning classes and running marathons.
