District Wrestling Update

Fairfield High School hosted the Division 1 wrestling meet Friday and Saturday, and Turpin had Tommy Cummins, Adam Galloway, Robert Stephens, John Morgan Correll, Michael Aldrich, Jake Rheude and Matt Kelly representing the Spartans in action on Friday.

Correll, Aldrich and Rheude were successful in making it through to the competition in Saturday. Our best finish was John Morgan Correll finishing in 6th place! Jake Rheude recorded his 100th victory during the event and Michael Aldrich improved to wrestle a day longer than last year. All our wrestlers were involved in very tough matches and several were only seconds away from victory! Congratulations to all on a great season!

Saturday Sectional Success for Wrestlers

Many Turpin wrestlers will be moving on to Districts on Friday and Saturday after outstanding performances at the sectional meet.

Weekend Warriors FAVC

This weekend the Turpin Wrestlers participated in the FAVC Championships. Our team had many outstanding achievements.

Turpin King of the Hill Winners!

Wednesday night proved to be another exciting wrestling competition as our Spartans took on both Anderson and McNicholas High Schools to determine "King of the Hill" champions.

Meet Coach Tony Bianco

Tony has coached for more than 20 years in wrestling and football at several high schools, including Springfield North and Anderson. His teams have captured several league titles and sent many kids to the state wrestling tournament. He has also coached one state champion wrestler during his career. Prior to coaching, he wrestled at Wittenberg University where he was named as a captain his junior season. Coach Bianco is married with five children.
