On Saturday September 10th Turpin's JV Maroon soccer team hosted Centerville. About 10 minutes into the game Centerville gained the lead with a shot that just got past goalie Alex Starahs in the top corner. Turpin's defense held strong for the rest of the half until the 34th minute when Centerville got off a shot that made it through the traffic in front of the net and Alex didn't have enough time to react fast enough so the ball ended up going in the bottom corner of the net.

On a gloomy Thursday afternoon on September 2nd Turpins JV Maroon team played Fairfield on the muddy fields at Fairfield High School. The game got off to a slow start as the teams were trying to get used to having to navigate around the big puddles on the field and trying to judge the ball as it skipped across the wet field. The first half was very uneventful as the score at half-time was 0-0.

On Saturday September 3rd, Turpin's JV Maroon team hosted Dayton Christian for game number 5 this season. DC started the scoring about 5 minutes into the game when goalie Alex Starahs and defender AJ Luna had a little miscommunication and neither of them got control of the ball and a DC striker buried it into the back of the net. After that Turpins defense held strong for the rest of the half and Turpin went into half-time trailing 1-0. Early in the second half DC extended their lead to 2-0  when they put one just past Alex on a fast break. The next goal didn't come until the 30th minute when DC took a shot from the edge of the box that went just over Alex's hands to put DC up 3-0. Just as it looked like Turpin was going to be shut-out for the first time this season Jack Richards took a shot from the edge of the box with 17 seconds left in the game and buried it in the side netting to make the final score Dayton Christian 3 Turpin 1. The loss made Turpins record this season 2-3.

On Wednesday August 31, JV Maroon played their first away game of the season against Batavia.
