Turpin Cross Country headed out to Corwin Nixon Park this weekend to experience a unique course of wooded trails, hay bales and creek crossings at the Mason Invitational. Despite the previous night’s rain, the course held up well as half of the THS runners turned in season best times.
The Spartans traveled to Kingswood Park Saturday morning to run in the Queen City, Xavier University Invitational. In a very competitive field, the men of Turpin finished 7th out of 18 teams.
On Monday, August 24th, the Spartans took center stage at the Sycamore Sunset Invitational held on the Sycamore High School campus grounds. With perfect racing weather conditions on their side, the Spartans toed the line amongst 363 athletes to take on the first all-athlete meet of the year.
Despite the warm morning, the Spartans competed well at the Lakota East Invite Saturday morning as 17 runners set season best times, with 12 of those turning in a career best time.
