In the first of three matches on the week, the Turpin JV faced rival Anderson at Ivy Hills CC and emerged with a hard-fought victory 179-182. Freshman Austin Williamson led the scoring for the Spartans with a 41, while sophomore Peter Collier fired a 44.
The boys varsity golf team started the week off well with a victory over Anderson on Monday at Ivy Hills CC, shooting 159 to win by 4 strokes. They were led by medalist Cash Renfro who shot a 36 followed by Ryan Lambert's 37. On Tuesday, the Spartans were victorious in a tri-match against Indian Hill and Mariemont. The boys shot a season low, 155. They were led by medalist Collin McAninch with a 36 and Clay Scherer with a 39.
The Turpin Boys JV Golf team faced Indian Hill for the second time in a row Tuesday, this time at California Golf Course. The Spartans emerged with victory again 182-201. Freshmen Austin Williamson, Cam Hacker and Zach Gardner shot 43, 44 and 46, respectively.
In their first match since classes began, the Turpin Boys JV welcomed Indian Hill to Legendary Run Golf Course last Tuesday. Freshman Austin Williamson was the medalist at 41, supported by Freshmen Zachary Gardner's 44 and Cameron Hacker's 45. The Spartans won this round 178-193, and will face the Braves in a rematch Tuesday at California Golf Course.
