The twelve Turpin Gymnasts have been practicing extra hard over the past couple of weeks getting ready for the Centerville Quad meet on Thursday February 7! Coach Gail Maundrell challenged each girl to raise their individual scores by two tenths for this meet. She believes in this team and their hard work and dedication!
Congratulations to Turpin Gymnastics Team for their strong showing at the Indian Cup at Cincinnati Country Day on January 5th. Coach Maundrell stated “a 2 week winter break plays havoc with our practice schedules” but the girls still managed to bring their score up by 3 points from the previous meet.
On Saturday December 8th the Turpin and Anderson gymnastics teams held the Forest Hills Flip Fest 2012! Not only did this meet bring teams together across southwest Ohio it helped to raise money and benefit the Malling Family.
The thirteen member gymnastics team kicked off the season with their first meet at Cincinnati Country Day on Tuesday! Other teams competing at this meet included Lakota East, Cincinnati Country Day and Anderson. Turpin placed third overall with tough competition. Congratulations to both Julianne Haney who placed 6th place in both floor and all-around and Shelby Olsson who placed 5th in her floor routine!
