On Thursday, the boys golf team competed in the ECC tournament at Sharon Woods Golf Course. They finished in second place with a solid score of 326. They were led by senior Ryan Lambert with a silver medalist winning 77. Junior Cash Renfro backed him up with a 79. The boys finished the regular season in second place behind Loveland by a half of a point. They will look to keep their season going at sectionals on Tuesday at Sharon Woods.
The boys cross country team competed in the Midwest Meet of Champions in Hillard, OH on Saturday. It was the best race of the season from the top to the bottom of the lineup. Forty-two runners posted season best times. Twenty-three were career best times.
The Kings Knights shut down Turpin 35-7 Friday at Kings High School. Kings junior wide receiver Hunter Jessee became familiar with the endzone on this Homecoming night for the Kings, as senior quarterback Ashton Koller found Jessee on a 28-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, and then again in the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 28-0.
A busy week for the Turpin JV resulted in three match wins and a first place tournament finish. The Spartans beat Seven Hills 165-217 at Legendary Run on Monday, led by Freshmen Nick Langan (40) and Zach Fidishun (41) and sophomore Zach Gardner (41).
The girls tennis team had another busy week that saw a 4-1 victory over both Summit and CCD. On Wednesday, the girls took revenge on the second rated team in Cincinnati, Ursuline.
The Spartans dropped first two sets at Walnut Hills, before turning the tide and rallying back to take the match in five.
The Spartan's girls tennis team won the ECC tournament on Tuesday, adding to their winning streak. Almost all of the girls made it to the final, but over all they ended up pulling out a win.
