Great week for Turpin Tennis! The girls pick up a 5-0 win against Seven Hills and again against Walnut Hills. The girls played a tough fight against Indian Hill, resulting in a 1-4 loss. The longest match of the season so far goes to Cara Hogan and Morgan Reynolds who were on the court for 2 hours and 58 minutes.
The Freshman Volleyball team is now 2-0 in Conference play! The Spartans traveled to the home of new rival West Clermont. They had an impressive 8-1 run in the beginning of the game and never looked back. After another 7 point run, Turpin won handily 25-13. They looked great both offensively and defensively.
The Lady Spartans soccer team started play on Saturday night hosting the 5th ranked Oak Hills Lady Highlanders. From the outset the Lady Spartans dominated play using their ball control passing to frustrate the Lady Highlanders.
The Turpin JV golf team welcomed Milford to Ivy Hills CC last week and emerged victorious 172-202. Freshman Nick Langan led the way with a 40. Next, the Spartans invited Wyoming to Reeves Golf Course. Just hours after the solar eclipse, Turpin JV fired a 160 in the victory to Wyoming's 180.
The Turpin boys varsity golf team went 3-0 this week. They started the week at Ivy Hills with a win over Kings, 160-187. They were led by both Cash Renfro (37) and Ryan Lambert (38). The Spartans earned a nail-biting 160-161 victory over Mariemont at Ivy Hills on Tuesday. They were again led by Renfro (35) and Lambert (38). On Wednesday, Turpin pulled out a 156-157 win against St. Xavier at Legendary Run. They were led by senior Ryan Lambert with a dominant 1-under par (35) performance.
The Turpin girls tennis team opened its season with their first ECC win against Milford, winning all 5 courts in the process. Then, a clean sweep against the Loveland Tigers.
The Turpin Spartans dropped their season opener against neighborhood rival McNicholas in football action Friday, losing 16-10. The Spartans will travel to Northwest this Friday looking to even their season record.
