On Friday, February 3 the Turpin Spartans (6-12, 4-7 ECC) were unable to hold off a fourth quarter run by the Milford Eagles (6-12, 4-7 ECC), and lost 51-46.

On Monday January 30 the Turpin boys bowling team traveled to Stones Lanes to face the Withrow Tigers. Turpin was able to snap a long losing streak by defeating Withrow 2,311 to 1,554. Turpin was led by junior David DuBois who bowled a career high 236 in game one. Helping DuBois in the efforts were fellow juniors Spencer Durso and Ryan Zink who bowled 332 and 334 series respectively.
Turpin hosted Summit Country Day on Monday night as the visitors came into the game the #1 ranked Division III team in Ohio. The Spartans started quickly and it appeared they were on their way to handing the Silver Knights their first loss of the year, but the Knights came back in the 2nd half and hit a free throw with 4 seconds left to escape Klinger Court with a win.
On Tuesday, January 31 the Turpin Spartans (6-11) rode a hot shooting night and dispatched the Little Miami Panthers (10-9) 64-41 in a non-league contest at Klinger Court. For the game the Spartans shot 51% from the field and made all 14 free throw attempts.
On Friday, January 27, the Turpin Spartans (5-11, 4-6 ECC) took the Walnut Hills Eagles (10-5, 8-2 ECC, #6 Enquirer poll) to the wire before falling 51-48.
The Spartans competed at the Milford Invitational over the weekend. After a full day of grappling, the Spartans Brady Eckert and Harty Sand found themselves at the top of the podium earning themselves the first place title.
