The Spartans fell to the Redskins 9-7 at a very windy Spartan Stadium last Tuesday and then 11-7 at Anderson on Wednesday. Turpin held narrow leads in both games, but couldn’t hold off Anderson.

The Spartans (9-4 ECC, 12-11) extended their win streak to six with a solid come from behind 9-3 victory over Anderson. Before the game, Anderson extended an incredible gesture on their senior day by recognizing Turpin’s seniors with flowers and a small gift. What was even more special about the gesture is Anderson did not even have a single senior.
The Varsity Spartans of Turpin Men’s Tennis (@TurpinMTennis) topped four conference rivals this week in dual matches, completing the ECC regular season undefeated. Finishing 6-0 in the ECC, the Spartans beat Kings, Glen Este, and Walnut Hills to start the week, and completed the sweep with a win against Loveland on Friday.
The Varsity Spartans of Turpin Men’s Tennis (@TurpinMTennis) added a fourth consecutive ECC Championship to their collective resume. Coach Kate Rodgers’ squad added a first-place finish in the league tournament on Tuesday to an undefeated regular season league record, to complete the four-peat.
The Spartans got several clutch performances late to come back from a 3-0 deficit to surprise the Tigers 4-3 on Thursday. Turpin got six innings of solid pitching from Drew Sesler, great defense from center fielder Jake Silverstein, and two hits each from Justin Silverstein, Ryan Lambert and Will Blamer. Lambert was credited with the win and Matt Millikin provided the two-out game winning hit in the bottom of the seventh.
The Boys Lacrosse team had a challenging week that yielded a 1-2 record. They lost a hard fought battle in the 4th quarter vs. Loveland - a team that beat them last season 18-1. They lost another 1-goal nail-biter to Anderson by a score of 9-10. Even though they suffered two setbacks, the team continues to grow.
